New Cat June 16, 2008

Ok so my mother, who told me last week she did not want to get another cat decided that Saturday was the day we were to get a new cat! I guess my dad has been hinting that he wanted a new cat because our old cat Mr. Boots died the night before I got back from my college graduation. Anyway, so my mother and I went to Wayside Waifs–which my dad accidentally referred to as Wayward Waifs during his Father’s Day dinner 😀 We looked at MANY MANY MANY cats. Finally I got to hold KeKe (twas the cats name before dad got to her) and she buried her little face in my arms and just purred and purred. And we decided that because she liked to be held and picked up and loved, that she was the right cat for us. So off we went to pay 60 DOLLARS for a cat! We got her home to dad, surprised him and he loved her. She looks a lot like Mr. Boots but she is a bit, well how do I put it…..let’s just say she’s had a few large mice in her day….Daddy decided to name her Miss Boots. However, my mom and I call her KeKe Boots because I still miss Mr. Boots, plus she needs her own unique name.

Anyway, I’ll put a picture of her up here soon. She is a cute cat. She does have a bit of a cold she picked up while at Wayside….but I’ll get her more meds soon!
